Tell us a bit about yourself

I’m currently studying Actuarial studies and Commerce (FinTech) at the University of New South Wales.

What do you enjoy most about working at Optiver?

Everyone at Optiver is very supportive and keen to help you learn. People at all levels are willing to lend a hand, which has assisted me to overcome a steep learning curve.

How were you supported to learn during your internship?

The training program started with two weeks of intense theoretical training on trading topics. Then, we worked on a team project to develop an automated trading strategy, based on historical market data.

What’s your top tip for students that are looking to apply?

Always be willing to learn, by embracing challenges and being inquisitive.
