Campus Recruiter

Amsterdam

The key to Optiver’s success as a leading market maker is our people. We place a strong focus on education and internal growth, making the Campus Recruitment team pivotal to the development of our Amsterdam and London operations. As a Campus Recruiter, you will be responsible for hiring into our Internship and Graduate programs, as well as attracting top talent to our early engagement initiatives. Have an innovative idea? You will have both the freedom and resources to make it happen – we believe in autonomy, ownership and providing a platform for everyone to make an impact. We know our best work is done together, so you’ll both collaborate with and potentially mentor other Campus Recruiters across our Amsterdam and London teams.

WHO WE ARE

Optiver is a tech-driven trading firm and leading global market maker. As one of the oldest market making institutions, we are a trusted partner of 50+ exchanges across the globe. Our mission is to constantly improve the market by injecting liquidity, providing accurate pricing, increasing transparency and acting as a stabilising force no matter the market conditions. With a focus on continuous improvement, we participate in the safeguarding of healthy and efficient markets for everyone who participates.

Our Amsterdam office is where it all began. Over 35 years ago, Optiver’s business started with a single trader on the floor of Amsterdam’s European Stock Exchange. Since our 1986 founding, Optiver’s Amsterdam office has grown into one of the most dynamic and exciting trading floors in Europe. Our culture reflects the Dutch capital city’s progressive, innovative and inclusive nature. With its unique spirit, Amsterdam is the ideal hub for our teams to trade a wide range of products from listed derivatives to cash equities, ETFs, bonds and foreign exchange.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

Our Recruitment teams are formed of specialists that work across our three key departments: Trading, Technology and Business Operations.   • Developing innovative recruitment strategies supported by data-driven insights;
  • Proactively assessing and improving our current recruitment strategy;
  • Exercising your interviewing toolkit – combining accurate assessment with a top candidate experience;
  • Mentoring and supporting the development of your colleagues;
  • Building effective relationships with internal stakeholders;
  • Leading and/or collaborating on impactful projects such as market specialisation, interview quality and calibration, candidate experience, and diversity & inclusion.

WHO YOU ARE

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Able to handle competing priorities and to work effectively in a challenging, fast-paced environment
  • An appetite to utilise data to inform strategic thinking and decision-making
  • Flexibility with regards to working hours, since events and traveling can take place during evenings and weekends

WHAT YOU’LL GET
