Optiver is looking for a HR Data, Reporting and Risk Analyst who wants to challenge themselves by working in the exciting, fast-paced nature of a propriety trading firm. Here you will provide real-time insights and in-depth analysis that enable our stakeholders to make informed decisions. The ideal candidate has an affinity for people analytics and a strong analytical background. Furthermore, there is the opportunity to help redefine the risk control framework for the APAC region and assist in the management of the framework moving forward, making this a key role within the People function.

What you’ll do
Being an HR Data, Reporting and Risk Analyst at Optiver is not just about analysing and reporting data and risks. You will be the key person who transforms internal and market data into concise, actionable information and ensure we deliver accurate reporting and dashboards to both internal and external parties. You will be responsible for the management of the regional risks and ensuring we remain within our risk appetite.
Your work will be dynamic and ever evolving, with a mixture of short and long-term projects. You can expect to:
- Conduct analysis and create visual representations to assess the HR team's advancement towards the objectives outlined in the People Strategy
- Collect data on employment records, payroll outputs, management and employee surveys, and exit interviews to analyse the end-to-end employee lifecycle
- Create and produce reports and dashboards for internal and external stakeholders
- Implement relevant HR metrics to determine the efficiency and impact of the workforce
- Analyse data and statistics for trends regarding employee performance, recruitment practices, engagement, turnover, and compliance with employment laws
- Use data analysis to detect and evaluate patterns and assess potential opportunities and risks
- Streamline data pipelines, conducting modelling and make visualisations
- Build, own, maintain and further develop different, interactive reports
- Champion data quality and cleanliness within the team, identifying and bringing attention to data issues that need to be rectified at the Risk management and control responsibilities to ensure the team's activities align with our defined risk frameworks
- Assist in the development of a regional wide risk control framework
- Timely management of regional risks, controls and assurances
- Continuously broaden your technical horizon and stay up to date with the latest technology
Who you are

In terms of skills and qualifications, we're looking for:
- At least 3-5 years’ experience in a HR data and reporting analyst role
- Experience in managing People related risks
- Academic degree in a related area
- Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and assurance of accuracy
- Strong ability to work independently, however also can cross-functionally across teams
- The confidence and maturity to partner with a variety of senior stakeholders
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Excel (Pivot Tables, Lookups/Indexing), and the ability to create charts, spreadsheets, and presentations
- Must have experience with Workday and a data analytics coding language (Python, Matlab)
- Affinity with Human Resources
- High degree of confidentiality and understanding of limitations in data sharing and data governance
- Proactive, can-do attitude
- Eagerness to learn
- Strong communicator: you need to able to translate your ideas to different areas of the business
- Ability to manage and deliver to deadlines
