Enterprise Architect (Identity and Access Management)

The Enterprise Architect will develop deep understanding of the current enterprise technology ecosystem and partner closely with business stakeholders and other Global Enterprise Technology team members to formulate and implement solutions for the challenges and opportunities that Optiver needs to address. Enterprise architects will assess available technologies within the environment as well as in the marketplace, and continuously strive to optimize business operations via an effective blend of technology and process improvements, while balancing security, simplicity, consistency, risk, operability, and usability.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Understand challenges and opportunities that need to be addressed, distinguishing root causes from symptoms, and work with business leaders to align on priorities and desired outcomes
- Develop solutions to technical enterprise challenges that maximize value and scale appropriately
- Collaborate closely with other Global Enterprise Technology team members to ensure solutions have the right blend of technology and process improvements
- Catalog the current enterprise technology environment, and maintain an accurate representation of the ecosystem
- Establish and enforce enterprise architectural models, capabilities, and best practices to adequately perform and support Optiver’s business and technology activities
- Continuously leverage opportunities to improve the enterprise technology infrastructure and ecosystem
- Research industry trends and technologies in the marketplace and advise on opportunities to better support business objectives
- Collaborate with other technical and functional experts to continuously improve and protect the integrity of the IT environment while increasing capability and efficiency
- Clearly articulate and proactively communicate vision, strategy, and plans, building consensus and understanding across a variety of audiences
- Manage stakeholder expectations proactively
- Serve as point of contact, consultation, and escalation for key business partners and stakeholders
- May supervise or direct junior or peer resources, either longer-term in a mentoring capacity or shorter-term in fulfillment of particular objectives
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Proven experience leading and/or significantly contributing to IT transformation projects, especially related to IAM
- Expertise in IAM best practices, principles, and technologies
- Deep understanding of the trade-offs between configuration and customization, and when each is appropriate
- Command of factors that affect both initial and long-term costs, complexity, and implementation and operability concerns
- Some leadership/mentoring experience
- Experience working in a globally distributed team model
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Organization and attention to detail
- Positive attitude and ability to build consensus
- Focus on possibilities over difficulties
- Ability to work through ambiguity and drive clarity of vision and strategy
- Superb analysis and design abilities
- Experience with modeling and graphical representations and abstractions
- Understanding of IT security, data, and engineering principles
- IT Transformation (or equivalent, such as SI, M&A) experience
- Strong collaboration skills to partner with a variety of functions and experience levels
- Experience in a highly-regulated industry preferred
- Industry certification preferred
- Bachelor’s degree required
