Optiver is looking for a versatile Senior Accountant to join our newly established Finance team in the London office. The right individual is a self-starter and able to multi-task in a dynamic work environment. The candidate will have the opportunity to deliver and manage core accounting and finance processes, and help to drive success in our team.

What you’ll do:
- Manage financial reporting processes, in particular the month-end close process for multiple entities
- Prepare journal entries, produce reconciliations (in particular, for net liquidation value), and maintain control over the ledger
- Prepare complex expense and profit sharing allocations between entities and business units
- Understand, book and settle intercompany charges
- Maintain support for fixed assets, leases, and prepaid expenses
- Prepare technology and other operating expense accruals, and undertake complex variable pay calculations
- Help to deliver a monthly reporting package, communicating key analysis over balance sheet and income statement changes
- Manage the preparation of annual financial statements and audit-related deliverables, liaising with our external auditors as required
- Support cash activities, including the preparation of bank reconciliations
- Assist in ongoing development, documentation, and testing of internal controls
- Support local and international finance teams with ad-hoc projects as they arise
Who you are:
- Qualified financial accountant (ACA/ACCA preferred)
- Highly motivated, detailed oriented, and able to handle multiple priorities in a complex finance environment
- A willingness to embrace new challenges and drive continuous improvement within our finance team processes as both Optiver and the role evolves
- Excellent communication and analytical skills
- Financial services experience preferred
- Strong proficiency in Excel
- NetSuite experience is a plus
