Founded in 2021, Optiver's Singapore location is our ninth global office. As a fast-growing office, we have the feel of a start-up, but the backing of a large multinational trading firm. In Asia Pacific, Optiver was one of the first global market makers to establish a presence in the region, with the incorporation Optiver's APAC head office in Sydney in 1996. Since then, we have expanded our footprint by establishing offices in Taipei (2005), Hong Kong (2007) and Shanghai (2012).
WHAT YOU'LL DO
As a Project Manager at Optiver, your challenge is to guide our business through project planning, management and delivery while collaborating with teams across the tech, trading and business space as well as external stakeholders. You'll have a strong focus on identifying and clearing potential blockers, building effective working relationships across the organisation, and working with the project team to create project standards and tooling. Some other responsibilities will include:
- Delivering programs and projects focused on new trading and business initiatives.
- Drive rapid, quality project delivery that is in scope, on time and on budget.
- Work closely with the business to review how we can better support the ever-growing list of new business initiatives and the associated business change management.
- Be part of an agile and fast-paced TechOps team supporting users on a range of solutions and projects.
- Combine your knowledge in project management and/or program management with a problem-solving mindset to respond to business needs and independently work on improvement opportunities.
WHO YOU ARE
Optiver needs our next Project Manager to be someone with:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Project Management role.
- A background in IT is desirable, preferably in integration experience or engineering.
- Experience in the capital markets or finance industry.
- Substantial experience in successfully delivering projects including understanding of different methodologies and when to apply them.
- Demonstrated ability to deliver programs or projects that span multiple departments and teams with significant uncertainty.
- Ability to influence and build trusted relationships with stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to introduce and improve project management practices that optimise delivery.
- Experience in setting up or running a PMO would be an added bonus.
