Optiver’s business and global footprint is rapidly growing. As a result, the underlying technology and infrastructure is required to grow as well. With over 1500 servers in more than 15 locations, this leads to a complex mix of operational and project work. Some is predictable, most of it is not. Some are external timeline driven, some are not.
To keep pace with the rapidly growing needs, Optiver needs a Project Delivery Manager to guide our business through the planning and delivery of projects across our Infrastructure business unit. WHAT YOU'LL DO:
As an Infrastructure Project Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end Project Delivery of complex multi-vendor projects, focusing on Project Planning & Execution, Communicating Project Performance to Senior Leadership & Business Stakeholders, Managing cross-functional Engineering Resources, Vendor Management and Risk & Issues Management.
You will actively coordinate with our colleagues across Technology, Business and Trading spaces as well as external vendors to ensure Projects are delivered on time, meet business requirements and deliver business value.
You will plan, prioritize and report on Project performance to stakeholders, acting as an ambassador for the infrastructure unit for Optiver and the outside world. Your mission will be to work with our Engineers to oversee the rapid growth of our infrastructure while keeping a strong focus on quality and delivery of the overall project portfolio.
WHO YOU ARE:
- Prior infrastructure project coordination experience
- A background in Information Technology such as Computer Science
- Experience in hardware or a good understanding of data centers and telecommunications/networks
- A project management certification or a proven track record of delivering international projects
- A background in trading or financial environments
- Proven organisational skills
- Excellent communicator, being able to interact with different cultures and different technical backgrounds, both inside and outside of an organisation
- The ability to handle changing environments and requirements and the ability to context switch and adapt
