WHAT YOU’LL DO:

You will become a member of the ambitious Tax team at Optiver Europe that covers a wide range of topics and jurisdictions and is involved in many unique and challenging new projects in Optiver’s ever changing environment. You will work in close collaboration with the Trading and Technology teams as well as with the Finance, Legal and HR departments and engage directly with external stakeholders like tax authorities and advisors.

More concrete:

• You will (further) develop yourself as an in-house tax specialist with both tax technical and business skills gaining understanding of Optiver’s unique company culture and it’s financial markets and securities trading business. As such you will have an opportunity to oversee the implementation of your suggested solutions and have a long-term involvement with their operation and execution
• You will leverage your current capabilities and gain new experience with regard to (international) employment related taxes, corporate income taxes (including transfer pricing) and other international tax matters by providing tax advice to various internal stakeholders, managing tax risks and participating in projects such as tax planning analyses, tax audits, tax review of business transactions and business restructurings, directly adding value to our business
• You will participate in the upkeep, optimization and execution of our tax control framework, by developing, embedding and monitoring best practice tax processes in the fields where you are the subject matter expert

WHO YOU ARE:

Optiver needs our next Tax Specialist to be someone with:

• An academic degree in tax law/economics  
• A broad (tax) scope, gained during your approximately five years of relevant working experience in the tax team of a multinational and/or an international consulting practice
• Experience in (international) employment tax matters is preferred
• Strong Excel skills and interest in data management
• Ability to balance business and control interests
• A Pro-active, sharp, confident, analytical, structured, flexible and quality minded personality
• Excellent organizational and planning skills
• Great written and verbal communication skills in English
• A team player mindset with a good sense of humor
