Optiver is seeking Machine Learning Researchers to join our futures trading team, also known as Delta One. We’re looking for someone to create and improve machine-learning models, conduct signal/alpha research, and deliver improved predictions from which to run trading strategies. You’d work on a close-knit team that applies quantitative expertise and scientific training to solve tough, interdisciplinary problems.
Our Delta One team is comprised of researchers (like yourself), traders and software engineers. They work in a collaborative environment to design, improve, and execute trading strategies using a machine learning approach. We take pride in seeing the real-time impact of solutions and our quick feedback loop allows us to innovate rapidly in an ever-changing market.
What you’ll need:
- PhD required in computer science, statistics, data science, mathematics, physics, machine learning or a related STEM field
- Experience using Python, R, Matlab, or other analytical tools for quantitative research
- Experience in computationally intensive research and managing and analyzing very large data sets
- Possesses a strong foundation in Machine Learning techniques. XGBoost is a plus
