Financial markets are an exciting arena for the mathematically-minded. A lot of the tools and ideas we use every day are drawn directly from physics. 

In this talk, Dr. Adrian Dudek, Optiver’s Head of Academic Partnerships will showcase key examples of how physics can be applied to option pricing. Adrian will also delve into the qualities that physics students develop that will set you up for success in your career.

About Dr. Adrian Dudek

Dr. Adrian Dudek is the Head of Academic Partnerships APAC at Optiver. Growing up in Perth, Australia, Adrian has always been interested in prime numbers. Following his passions, Adrian completed his BSc (Hons in Mathematics) at the University of Western Australia before moving to Canberra to pursue his interests and completed his PhD in number theory at the Australian National University (ANU).

Soon after, he started his career as a Trader at Optiver, a decision that’s allowed him to combine his interests in Maths with his day-to-day role. More recently, Adrian began his current role as the Head of Academic Partnerships, which has allowed him to travel to different universities to share his personal journey with students, as well as discuss all things Maths and trading.
