Optiver appoints Sandrine Teran as Chief Financial Officer

Optiver is pleased to announce the appointment of Sandrine Teran as Chief Financial Officer, effective January 1.

Sandrine joins from Eutelsat Communications, a leading international satellite communications company headquartered and listed in Paris, where she served as CFO since 2017 and Chief Information Technology Officer from 2017 to 2020. With her appointment, Sandrine also becomes a member of Optiver’s Management Board and Executive Committee.

A highly experienced finance professional, Sandrine led efforts at Eutelsat to implement the firm’s financial strategy and create a more agile and digitally enabled finance function. Prior to joining Eutelsat, Sandrine held executive roles at agricultural commodities trading firm Louis-Dreyfus, including Global CFO and Member of the Management Board of Louis-Dreyfus Holding (based in Amsterdam). Sandrine earned her degree in business tax and finance from the Paris Dauphine University.

“I am delighted to join Optiver and return to Amsterdam in a highly dynamic and multicultural trading environment,” said Sandrine. “As a leading global market maker with a strong track record of performance and successful expansion, Optiver holds impressive potential for growth and new opportunities.”

Sandrine replaces Edwin Duijn, who stepped down as CFO of Optiver on December 31. Edwin will continue to support Optiver as Advisor to the Management Board and Executive Committee.

“We welcome Sandrine to Optiver and look forward to working with her in our mission to improve markets,” said Jan Boomaars, Optiver CEO. “At the same time, we gratefully acknowledge Edwin’s significant contribution to Optiver over the years, where he was known as a pragmatic leader, team player and true ambassador of our culture.”
