The Australian Maths Trust (AMT) is excited to announce that Optiver has extended its sponsorship of the AMT Olympiad programs for a further four years to 2025.

“We are pleased to announce that our partnership with Optiver, our national sponsor of the Australian Informatics and Mathematical Olympiad programs, will continue to 2025,” said Nathan Ford, CEO at AMT.

“Optiver has been a crucial, enthusiastic and valued partner of our Olympiad programs since 2016. Its support of our European Girls’ Mathematical Olympiad initiative and our successful bid to host the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) in Melbourne in 2025 has been instrumental in helping us grow our Olympiad programs,” Nathan continued.

AMT is looking forward to hosting the IMO and bringing the global mathematical talent from over 100 countries to Melbourne.

“We are very excited to be continuing work with Optiver on building a nation of creative problem solvers over the next four years,” Nathan concluded.

Arun Nadesan, Head of Education at Optiver for the APAC region, was equally excited about the continued sponsorship. “We are delighted to extend our partnership with AMT to 2025, supporting the organisation as they work towards building a nation of creative problem solvers. At Optiver, we are a team of passionate and curious thinkers who thrive on solving complex problems that help improve financial markets across the world.”

“We’re investing in the next generation of STEM talent, inspiring them to continue pursuing their interests in mathematics throughout secondary and tertiary education, as well as when they enter the workforce in later years,” Arun concluded.

Optiver is constantly seeking high-performing talent to join their leading teams. AMT’s Olympiad graduates are a highly sought-after talent pool for Optiver, demonstrating the increasingly important role of mathematics and informatics in the workplace.

Optiver joins the Department of Industry, Science, Energy and Resources in funding the AMT Mathematical and Informatics Olympiad programs.
